Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse / Manufacturing operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the manufacturing, storage, and packaging of hazardous chemicals for export. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strict adherence to manufacturing instructions is crucial to maintain product quality.
Duties
* Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
* Maintain stock levels to ensure minimal delays in production.
* Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
* Engage in stocking activities to the warehouse is well stocked in an organised way.
* Ability to utilise basic mathematics and literacy when following manufacturing procedures accurately.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for.
* Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock records.
* Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed.
Experience
* Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving heavy lifting and physical labour.
* Experience in materials handling, including loading and unloading goods, is essential.
* Ability to follow manufacturing procedures accurately.
