The Non‑Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) is responsible for providing non‑emergency and pre‑planned transport to and from hospitals and treatment centres for patients who have appointments at out‑patient clinics, day surgery units, and day centres. The service acts as a vital link between communities and is an integral part of the overall package of health care provided by the Ambulance Service in Wales.
Job Responsibilities
* Advance and on‑day scheduling for all non‑emergency patient journeys within a specific geographical area with a high number of journeys per day.
* Work to specific deadlines, allocate additional or late transport requests quickly and efficiently, and demonstrate effective utilisation of available resources.
* Update the scheduled work to include on‑day amendments and reallocation of patients when required.
Qualifications
* Good organisational skills and the ability to work to specific deadlines.
* Good typing and IT skills.
* Experience working in a busy and demanding environment and a can‑do attitude.
* Good geographical knowledge of the North Wales area.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* Under‑18 applicants may be considered on a role‑by‑role basis depending on duties and safety requirements.
Employment Information
* This role is not eligible for sponsorship as per the UK Government visa and immigration rules and regulations.

In line with the Trust's Starting Salary Procedure, all applicants will start at the bottom of the band for the position applied for, but can apply for a higher salary if they have previous experience relevant to the position.
