SEN Outreach Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are seeking a confident and experienced SEN Outreach Teaching Assistant to support children who are currently not accessing mainstream education. This role involves working with pupils in a variety of settings, including home, community, and specialist provision, helping them re-engage with learning and develop confidence in education.
This is a highly rewarding role suited to a resilient and proactive educator who can build strong relationships and adapt learning to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
* Support children who may have SEMH, ASD, or complex needs
* Help pupils re-engage with education through personalised learning approaches
* Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a calm, structured environment
* Work closely with schools, parents, and professionals to support student progress
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual EHCP targets and needs
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
* Strong behaviour management and the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
* Experience supporting students who may be out of mainstream education
* Full UK driving licence (clean)
* Own vehicle with business insurance – essential
* Reliable, resilient, and able to work independently
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
