We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry. This role involves supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the management team to foster a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction. Minimum 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth running of the restaurant or hotel environment
* Supervise and train staff, promoting teamwork and effective communication
* Manage food preparation and production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience
* Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels
* Collaborate with the management team to develop menus and special promotions
* Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss performance, updates, and training needs
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant sector
* Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
* Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development
* Previous experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* A background in hotel or kitchen environments is preferred
