An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Medicine Team at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to appoint Junior Clinical Fellows (Junior Locally Employed Doctors) to complement our team.
You will be working in one of Greater Manchester’s busiest hospitals, where over 100,000 patients are assessed in the Emergency Department every year. We seek to recruit dynamic individuals to work in our state-of-the-art ED, wherein there is a Paediatric Emergency Department, Urgent Treatment Centre, Resuscitation area, and Same Day Emergency Care unit which offers a front-door service for Medical and Respiratory referrals.
The post holders will be expected to provide exceptional patient care. The job offers excellent opportunities to develop special interests and keep their skills up by managing paediatric and adult acute emergencies. Sim sessions, regular ultrasound training and a daily dedicated Consultant shift promoting shop floor educational activities are also available.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional patient care in paediatric and adult acute emergencies.
* Develop special interests and maintain clinical skills through active management of ED presentations.
* Engage with simulation sessions, regular ultrasound training, and educational activities; benefit from a daily dedicated Consultant shift promoting on-the-floor education.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Current GMC registration at the time of application (active licence, ceased licence or pending application).
* Understand that MFT cannot sponsor GMC Sponsorship for vacancies less than 12 months fixed term.
* Candidates who do not meet the GMC criteria will not progress to shortlisting.
* Tier 5 sponsorship is not provided by MFT; applicants requiring Tier 5 should apply through the Academy of Royal Colleges via the MTI Scheme.
