Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Practitioner | 10374 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week, Term-time plus one week per year | £29,882 – £31,556 per annum | Grade H | Countywide
We are seeking to recruit Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Practitioners in our SEND and Inclusion Service, as part of Educational Psychology and Specialist Support (EPSS).
You will be joining a team that contributes to the delivery of Children’s Services new SEND and Inclusion model as part of the Local First inclusion (LFI) Strategy, as well as core statutory duties (. contributing to Annual Reviews of EHC Plans) and offering support to Norfolk’s SRBs and SHIPs.
You will have relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience of successfully working with children, families and school staff. The team works across the primary and secondary phases; a willingness to work across the age ranges is preferable.
Your role will involve:
1. Direct intervention work with groups/ individual children and young people in schools
2. Consultation with families and school staff
3. Observation and assessment
4. Participation in meetings related to the SEND and Inclusion model; (. Team Around the School Meetings)
5. Delivering training
You will be resilient, flexible and confident. You will undertake a mixture of activities directly in schools and from home involving remote working but in the context of a strong and supportive team who are based all over Norfolk.
