Position Description

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will be a key member of the Operational Security Team, supporting the secure delivery of services to a sensitive client. You will act as the day-to-day point of contact for operational security, working closely with CGI teams and client stakeholders to ensure security obligations are met, risks are managed, and issues are addressed promptly. You will take ownership of incident handling, security governance activities and ongoing assurance, while being supported by senior security leadership.
You will also help embed strong security awareness across the programme, ensuring people, processes and technology operate in line with contractual and regulatory expectations.
* Manage & maintain day-to-day operational security for the client engagement
* Handle & coordinate security incidents and corrective actions
* Act as the primary contact for personnel, physical, cyber and technical security
* Review & advise on change requests from a security perspective
* Support & participate in security audits and assurance activities
* Promote & maintain security awareness across the delivery teams
* Oversee secure onboarding and offboarding of programme personnel
* Monitor & highlight security risks, issues and compliance gaps
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will have a background in cyber or operational security, ideally within a defence or similarly high-security environment, with the confidence to operate as a trusted representative in a client-facing role. You bring a calm, professional approach, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Essential qualifications and experience
* Willingness to go through high level clearance
* Experience or strong interest in operational, cyber or infrastructure security
* Understanding of vulnerability, patch management and IT infrastructure
* Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and technical teams
* Strong communication skills, written and verbal
* Relevant security or IT certifications (e.g. CISMP, CompTIA Security+, ITIL) or working towards them
