Salary: £36,000

Responsibilities
* Conducting routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery and equipment.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
* Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent.
* Collaborating with the wider team to ensure equipment is ready for operational use.
* Keeping the workshop clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Workshop Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
* Strong knowledge of plant machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Day-to-Day
* Inspecting and diagnosing equipment brought into the workshop.
* Performing repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure machinery is in optimal condition.
* Liaising with team members and supervisors to prioritize workloads.
* Ordering and managing spare parts and tools as required.
* Testing and commissioning equipment after repairs to ensure functionality.
* Adhering to company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Benefits
* Competitive hourly rate of £13.50-£16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
