Ashgates became part of the DJH group in 2024, becoming our first office in the East Midlands. They are a progressive, proactive, and friendly accountancy and advisory practice with over 80 people based at Pride Park, Derby.
Established in 1991, the firm has grown incredibly over the years which has helped attract a talented team. They can provide a broad range of support and advice to businesses and individuals, on a local, national, and overseas level.

We are now on the lookout for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join our growing team. All work is reviewed by a manager, but is largely unsupervised at this level.
What your day to day will look like as an Accounts Semi-Senior:
* Confidently work alongside Senior Accountants and Managers to deliver a great service to our clients.
* Prepare financial statements from client source records, completing the necessary supporting schedules for manager review.
* Undertake regular bookkeeping for clients, including the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts as necessary.
* Be involved with planning work for relevant work assignments.
* Meet budgets and individual utilisation targets.
* Be expected to chase up outstanding queries with clients and to “progress manage” your own assignments.
* Wow clients daily, getting to know their business to deliver great experience.
* Lead, coach and develop the accounts trainees.
