Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the culinary and hospitality sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and assisting with various kitchen duties to ensure smooth operation during service hours. Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs and kitchen staff
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, stored correctly, and maintained in good condition
* Support with stock organisation and storage to ensure ingredients are properly stored and rotated
* Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety standards
* Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment at all times
Qualifications
* Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not mandatory
* Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures is beneficial
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to adapt to busy service periods and varied tasks
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: £8.50-£18.14 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
