Job Title: Child Support WorkerLocation: PrestonSalary: 31,000 to 32,000Hours: 3 days on, 4 days off (40hours total)
About Us:A Nurturing, child-centred residential home attached to a specialist SEN school, supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and associated needs. Our home provides a safe, structured, and supportive environment for pupils aged primary through secondary, helping them to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
The Role:As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the daily lives of our children, providing care, emotional support, and encouragement. You'll work closely with education and clinical teams to ensure consistency and a holistic approach to each child's development. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting children with autism in their daily routines
* Promoting independence, social skills, and emotional regulation
* Contributing to care plans and progress reports
* Engaging children in meaningful activities and community outings
* Ensuring a safe, supportive living environment
* Assisting with personal care where necessary
About You:We're looking for empathetic, patient, and resilient individuals who have a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a SEN or residential care setting
* A good understanding of Autism and the challenges it can bring
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A flexible approach to shift patterns, including sleep-ins
* A relevant Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards one)
