Job Description
As a Finning Engineer you will receive:
* Salary: £35,000 - £39,800

As a Rebuild Repair Engineer you will be based in Finning’s workshops. Your role is to ensure Construction Equipment products operate to Finning standards and customer requirements.
Major Job Functions
* Undertake detailed machine inspections to inform a commercial repair/replacement/refurbishment plan.
* Carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components for accurate cost evaluations and warranty considerations.
* Produce a comprehensive parts and materials list for proposed work.
* Overhaul, repair or refurbish machines per the work plan, including component removal/dispatch for specialist attention and reinstallation or replacement of parts.
* Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they meet expected performance levels.

Knowledge
* Understanding of general service manuals and computerised Service Information System (SIS) from the OEM
* Practical knowledge of tooling and equipment to repair heavy machinery
* Knowledge of rigging, slinging and jacking procedures
* Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fitting knowledge
Accountability
Adhere to agreed job times. Ensure high-quality finished machines. Maintain availability of machines for hire and orderly stock presentation. Ensure positive customer feedback and zero accidents by maintaining a tidy and safe working area.
Education And Experience
* Preferably background in plant machinery or related industries (HGV/agriculture)
* Apprentice-trained or minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality service environment
* Licence to drive reach trucks is required
* Experience operating construction equipment in confined spaces and mechanical fitting on large machines
