Foreman Fitter/Fabricator
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Salary: £27.82 per hour PAYE
Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 – 17:30
Contract: Full time
Experience: 2 years +
Qualifications
* Gold CSCS / NVQ Level 3 (Fabrication/Welding or Mechanical)
* SSSTS
* Full UK driving licence
* HGV licence (desirable)
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of fitters, fabricators and welders on site
* Carry out and oversee fabrication, installation and fitting of structural and mechanical components
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Ensure all fabrication and installation work is carried out to required quality standards
* Plan, coordinate and allocate daily tasks to the team
* Conduct regular toolbox talks and site briefings
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including safe systems of work
* Inspect work to ensure accuracy, alignment and correct installation
* Coordinate materials, tools and equipment requirements
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and resources used
* Identify and resolve on‑site issues efficiently
* Liaise with site management, engineers and other trades
* Ensure all documentation (permits, inspections, timesheets) is completed correctly
* Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
* Report any incidents, near misses or safety concerns
Benefits
