We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Detached Youth Outreach Workers to join our team. If you are passionate about improving the lives of young people and have the confidence and enthusiasm to engage with them in the community, we are looking for Youth Workers who can build positive rapport with young people in the community. What the job involves The role will include signposting young people to positive youth activities, delivering workshops in schools & in the community, and reducing community tensions through detached youth work. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering group work programmes, deploying youth outreach initiatives, and have strong community engagement skills. This role requires a proactive approach to engaging with young people in their own environments, building trust, and providing support tailored to their needs. Responsibilities will include planning, delivering, and evaluating group work programmes, completing detached youth outreach sessions, and building and maintaining positive relationships with young people, their families, and community stakeholders. The position requires flexibility to work during the day, evenings, and weekends as required, with working hours from Monday-Saturday between 12.00pm – 6.30 pm at various locations across the Borough. Hours are up to 20 hours per week.
