GSL Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Rotherham (S65, S66) from January 2026 As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that help students understand historical events, develop analytical skills, and form informed perspectives. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the curriculum. Teach a range of historical topics across key stages 3, 4 and 5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school initiatives. Encourage critical thinking, debate, and independent enquiry. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement. Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. History Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in History. Experience teaching History in UK schools is desirable. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
