A leading client-side property company with a UK-wide portfolio valued in the multiple billions is seeking a Service Charge Manager with a strong accounting and financial management background to join its Midlands-based team.

This is a key role within a high-performing finance and asset management function, offering exposure to complex service charge structures across a large, mixed-use estate.

The Role
Reporting into senior finance and property leadership, you will take ownership of the financial governance, reporting, and control of service charges across the portfolio, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and best practice.
Key responsibilities include:

Full financial oversight of service charge budgets, forecasts, and year-end reconciliations
Reviewing, challenging, and approving managing agent budgets and accounts
Ensuring service charge accounting is compliant with lease terms, RICS Service Charge Code, and internal controls
Acting as the key point of contact for auditors, finance teams, and external managing agents on service charge matters
Supporting asset management teams with financial insight and analysis
Managing complex occupier queries relating to service charge expenditure and accounting
Driving consistency, process improvement, and enhanced financial reporting across the portfolio About You
This role is well suited to someone trained in accounting or finance who has moved into, or works closely with, property service charge management.

You are likely to have:

An accounting or finance background (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience)
Strong experience of service charge accounting within commercial or mixed-use property
Excellent understanding of budgets, reconciliations, accruals, and financial controls
Experience working client-side or closely with managing agents
High attention to detail with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Confidence operating in a senior, multi-stakeholder environment Why Join?
