Job Description
Aureos is seeking Graduate Design Engineers to participate in an on-job development program aimed at becoming a Substation Design Engineer. The role involves working as part of a substations design team to deliver BIM (Building Information Management) and CAD (Computer Aided Design) designs for secondary and primary electrical systems. Projects include renewables, battery energy storage systems, transmission, and distribution.

Duties and responsibilities
* Gain knowledge of designing primary or secondary systems on a substation through on-job training.
* Master relevant CAD and design tools.
* Learn about CDM and safety standards and procedures.
* Assist in delivering engineering and design documents under guidance from senior engineers.
* Work on assignments to deliver designs as directed.
* Conduct site surveys and coordinate with site teams as needed.
* Create 3D models and technical CAD drawings.
* Manage documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide administrative support related to projects.
* Maintain performance in line with KPIs such as on-time delivery, requirements management, and first-time accuracy.
* Ensure design quality and adherence to project timelines and standards.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
* University degree in electrical power systems and machines or related fields.
* Knowledge of CAD tools and BIM environment.
* Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
* Ability to work effectively in teams.
* Clear and collaborative communication skills.
* Willingness to learn and develop.
* Basic understanding of electrical standards, regulations, and substation equipment such as protection, control, SCADA, transformers, switchgear, batteries, cabling, earthing, and lighting.
