In this role, you support our Operations unit in delivering cable stabilisation initiatives in the offshore environment. You contribute your technical expertise to the analysis, planning, and optimisation of subsea cable systems and play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient project execution. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners, supporting projects throughout the entire engineering lifecycle.
The role
1. Support cable stabilisation initiatives within the Operations unit
2. Analyse and interpret cable system models and validate engineering assumptions
3. Develop stabilisation and protection concepts (e.g. rock berms, rock bags, mattressing)
4. Provide technical support during installation and operational activities, including offshore work
5. Translate inspection data into engineering recommendations, risk assessments, and remediation concepts
6. Prepare technical requirements, Scopes of Work (SoW), and detailed design deliverables
7. Support tendering and procurement processes, including evaluation of supplier proposals
8. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Job requirements and experience
9. Degree in Engineering with a focus on offshore, marine, or a comparable field
10. Strong knowledge of subsea cable system design as well as seabed assessment and preparation
11. Experience in cable protection system (CPS) design, ideally including scour protection
12. Strong skills in cable motion analysis and experience with software such as OrcaFlex
13. More than 5 years of experience in the offshore wind industry or related sectors
14. In-depth experience in engineering offshore subsea cables (wind, telecommunications, or oil & gas)
15. Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
16. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
