Branch Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to lead a busy, high-performing retail store in Banbury.
This role follows a flexible working pattern of 5 days out of 7 (Monday to Sunday) on a rota basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a retail or customer service leader who is ready to take full ownership of a branch, drive commercial performance, and make a real impact on business success. You will play a key role in leading your team, enhancing customer experience, and delivering outstanding operational standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of sales and people management. You’ll be confident managing day-to-day operations while contributing to strategic growth and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring smooth and efficient performance
* Drive sales and maximise profitability through effective commercial strategies
* Consistently deliver a high standard of customer service, resolving any queries professionally
* Lead, motivate, and develop your team to achieve both individual and branch targets
* Recruit, train, and onboard new team members
* Manage stock control, purchasing, and deliveries
* Plan staff rotas and holidays, ensuring optimal staffing levels at all times
* Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
* Take full ownership of branch performance and results
About You
* Proven experience in a management role within retail, customer service, or a similar environment
* A confident leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Commercially aware, with a clear understanding of business performance and profitability
* Experience managing KPIs and P&L
* Hands-on, proactive approach with a positive, results-driven mindset
* Skilled in building strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders
* Experience with sales generation and lead development strategies
