What you’ll be doing
as a Senior Project Manager
1. Lead the delivery of a highly complex, multi-year project on a 24/7 live operational.
2. Build strong relationships within Thames Water, our delivery partners, and stakeholders.
3. Own project governance, contract management, and reporting.
4. Collaborate with colleagues and delivery partners to deliver project outcomes in terms of time, cost, and quality.
5. Strategically guide the team to anticipate and navigate delivery challenges and issues.
6. Champion continuous improvement and mentor and upskill emerging talent.
7. Lead with integrity and influence for the benefit of the project, the wider business, and the sector.
Location: Hybrid – Coppermills Water Treatment Site, E17 7HQ.
Hours: 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Must have access to a car and a driving licence.
What you should bring to the role
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
8. Proven experience managing large-scale (c.£100M) construction projects from inception to handover.
9. Degree qualified in a relevant discipline of engineering, project management, or similar.
10. Strong working knowledge of relevant UK regulations and contracts (e.g. NEC, IChemE)
11. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
12. Ability to work with high levels of independence, manage competing priorities, and thrive under pressure.
13. Resilience and determination to work as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes for the project.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
14. Relevant water sector experience is desirable.

15. Competitive salary from £67,000 to £88,000 per annum per annum depending on experience.
