Copello have partnered with an established Defence Engineering business in the recruitment of a Senior Procurement Professional. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing supply chain team supporting complex engineering programmes, where you will play a key role in supplier performance, contract management and commercial delivery.
What you’ll do:
* Manage supplier performance to ensure delivery against cost, quality and schedule commitments.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Lead contract negotiations and manage changes with suppliers.
* Oversee financial performance of procurement contracts, including forecasting, cost control and savings delivery.
* Support cross-functional project reviews, reporting and KPI monitoring.
* Utilise ERP systems to manage purchase orders and procurement activities.
What you’ll bring:
* Strong understanding of procurement principles and contract management within a supply chain environment.
* Experience managing budgets, spend and commercial performance.
* Confident negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload and perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
* ERP system experience (e.g. SAP) and CIPS qualification or progress toward it beneficial but not essential.
