Shift:06:00 - 14:00 OR 14:0022:00, Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)
Salary: £16.25 plus £1 shift allowance for PM shift
Contract: Permanent
Optimum TA are recruiting for a skilled Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business in Northampton. Youll be part of a busy, supportive team producing high-quality metal components used across the power generation sector.
What youll be doing:
* Tack and weld metal components to engineering drawings
* Check the quality of parts before and after welding
* Measure, grind, and fettle welded parts using air and electric hand tools
* Support general workshop duties as required (training provided)
What were looking for:
* Ability to weld to AWSD 1.1 standards (or similar)
* Able to read and work from technical drawings
* Positive, can-do attitude and hands-on approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility and attention to detail
Training and Qualifications:
Youll complete a company welding test before starting, and once onboard, youll be trained to AWSD 1.1 welding standard. xsngvjr
