Join us in a vital new role that will shape Thames Valley Police's response to the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 and the forthcoming Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill. This position aims to enhance the safety and well-being of children and adults at risk across the Thames Valley. You will support building stronger partnerships between Thames Valley Police and partner agencies, promoting collaboration and ensuring active involvement in Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements to protect the most vulnerable individuals in our communities.
The successful candidate will have experience working within multi-agency safeguarding arrangements in strategic leadership roles within policing or other public sector organizations. The ability to influence at all levels of the organization and strong collaboration skills are essential. You should be capable of promoting and facilitating cooperative efforts to deliver high standards of service, including providing strategic direction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to present complex information effectively and confidently to personnel at all levels across various agencies, including volunteers, in forums such as public and internal meetings. An in-depth understanding of key legislation, safeguarding policies, statutory responsibilities, and best practices in public sector governance and accountability related to children and adults at risk is essential.
Strong analytical skills are necessary to provide strategic oversight and make informed decisions based on data and evidence from diverse sources. The role will require attending in-person meetings across the three counties.
