Location:
Development Office based at Strule Arts Centre, Omagh. However, the postholder may be asked to work flexibly across the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area.

Hours:
37 hours per week, Monday Friday including occasional evenings and weekends as required.

SO1; SCP 25-27 £35,235 - £37,035 per annum

Key Purpose Of The Post
This post will focus on delivering the actions set out in the Fermanagh and Omagh Heritage Plan, supporting internal coordination through the Councils cross-cutting Heritage Forum, and contributing to the development and delivery of heritage-led projects, including the Exploring Local Heritage PEACEPLUS project.

The role will support the delivery of key objectives within the Heritage Plan, including:

* Improvingaccesstolocalheritage
* Developingandpromotingheritage
* Workinginpartnershipacrosssectorsandcommunities
* Protecting and preserving the districts built, natural, and cultural heritage

This will involve close collaboration with the Fermanagh County Museum team, as well as with statutory organisations, local communities, heritage stakeholders, and other local authorities, to deliver coordinated action in line with the Councils strategic aims.

Key Responsibilities Heritage Plan Delivery

* Coordinate and deliver a range of actions from the Heritage Plan Action Plan, reporting on outcomes and progress
* LeadtheinternalHeritageForum,supportingcross-departmentalengagementinthe delivery of shared heritage objectives
* Ensureactivitiescontributetotheoverarchinggoalsofaccess,development, partnership, and protection
* Work collaboratively with the Fermanagh County Museum team to support aligned heritage delivery and interpretation

Project Delivery

* SupportthedevelopmentanddeliveryoftheExploringLocalHeritagePEACEPLUS project, engaging with internal teams, communities, and external partners
* Contributetootherrelevantstrategicorcross-borderheritageinitiativesalignedwith the Heritage Plan and PEACEPLUS themes
* Coordinate with museum staff to develop and deliver projects and initiatives as required

Programming and Engagement

* Develop and deliver a programme of talks, tours, and engagement activities that reflect the districts diverse heritage
* Supportcommunity-focusedheritageprojectsinpartnershipwithlocalorganisations, schools, and groups
* Work alongside the museum team to ensure public programming aligns with shared interpretation goals and audience needs

Stakeholder Collaboration

* Buildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithstatutorybodies,heritagenetworks, community organisations, and neighbouring councils
* Facilitatepartnershipworkingtodelivercollaborative,place-basedheritage outcomes
* Contribute to museum and Council led initiatives that engage with communities on heritage themes

Communications and Reporting

* Producereports,briefings,andcommunicationsmaterialsinsupportofHeritage Plan delivery and related projects
* Work with the museum and Corporate Communications team to promote heritage initiatives across digital, print, and media platforms

Resources and Support

* Coordinatecasualstaffandvolunteersinvolvedinheritageactivity
* Assistwithprocurement,fundingapplications,andprojectbudgetmonitoring
* Support the museum team and other internal colleagues in strategic planning and the delivery of shared heritage priorities

General
