We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our housekeeping team at the exclusive Everglades Hotel.

Hours vary, but typical shift patterns include 6am to 2pm, 7am to 3pm, 8am to 4pm - with later hours offered at the weekend.
The rate of pay for this casual position ranges from £9 to £12.25 per hour, depending on your age.

About the role
To ensure that bedrooms and public areas within the hotel are cleaned and presented to the Hastings standard for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
* To clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas of the hotel. Typical tasks include vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general cleaning, and bedmaking.
* To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported.
* To maintain the security of rooms and stock, reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with company procedures.
* To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
* To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
* Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
* To ensure that all guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, or escalating to the Duty Manager where required.
* To comply with all health, safety, and hygiene policies and procedures.
* Any other duties as required by management.

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Housekeeping Team will provide you with full training.

Desired Criteria
* Previous cleaning experience
* Educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Mathematics.
