Our client, a leading provider of Mechanical and Electrical services with over 45 years of industry experience, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Leeds. The role is a permanent, full‑time position focusing on the data centre sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend project start‑up meetings and manage all mechanical aspects to ensure timely and budget‑compliant delivery
* Familiarise yourself with project specifications and details
* Collate technical submittals and follow through until approval
* Manage the labour tracker and maintain weekly progress reports
* Report and manage any changes or variations in the project
* Liaise with main contractors and the client‑based site team
* Oversee the coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment
* Ensure adequate materials are available to complete the project
* Implement construction and commissioning programmes on‑site
* Manage the handover process and maintain the document management system
* Attend meetings with subcontractors to ensure on‑time delivery
* Attend general site meetings and action any points raised
* Communicate project‑specific innovations to the Contracts Manager
Job Requirements
* Extensive experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar role
* Successful track record of delivering large‑scale projects
* Qualification in Construction or Project Management is preferred
* Experience in supervising teams
