As a Production Area Leader, you will: • Lead and organise Line Leaders across production areas. • Manage staff performance in line with production plans and KPIs. • Monitor quality of output, addressing variances and driving continuous improvement. • Actively promote food safety, quality standards, and compliance with HACCP and company systems. • Support audits, investigations, and corrective actions to maintain site standards. • Communicate effectively with staff and management to ensure clear understanding of goals and performance. • Deliver team briefs, manage training needs, and foster a positive working environment. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out regular performance and training briefings to ensure targets are met. • Coordinate daily head count per area/line and manage staff redeployment as required. • Support and coach staff to resolve issues, prevent downtime, and drive efficiency. • Ensure adherence to food safety and quality procedures at all times. • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities. • Avoid staff shortages and maintain stock levels to meet deadlines. • Handle staff disciplines (excluding Gross Misconduct) when required. • Organise and deliver relevant staff training through the Training Team. Skills & Knowledge: • Strong computer skills and the ability to provide accurate data. • Knowledge of KPI indicators (labour, yield, giveaway, waste, plan attainment). • Understanding of efficiency, daily plans, star card procedure, and financial implications. • Good knowledge of planning, processing, and quality procedures. • Ability to work under pressure and within budget parameters. Qualifications: • GCSEs in Maths and English, or equivalent/relevant experience. • NVQ / IFE qualification • Food Safety for Manufacturing Level 2. • HACCP Level 2.
