Technical Equipment Engineer – Multi-function Construction, Logistics, and Recycling Sector - Scotland
A well-established and reputable engineering-driven materials handling and industrial equipment business in Scotland is seeking an experienced Technical Equipment Engineer to join its service team.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong forklift maintenance expertise who is confident working both independently in the field and as part of a wider technical support team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service, maintain, and repair electric, diesel, and LPG forklifts.
* Perform advanced diagnostics and fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
* Commission new equipment at client sites and conduct structured handovers.
* Respond to breakdowns and provide efficient on-site technical support.
* Maintain accurate service documentation and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
* Support warranty assessments, technical reporting, and internal training initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in forklift maintenance and repair.
* Qualified Diesel Mechanic or relevant trade certification.
* Strong diagnostic capability across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
* Ability to work independently in a field-service environment.
* Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
* Valid driver's licence.
