PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Join the BBC’s Corporate Functions HR team, partnering with BBC Media Operations, the team that keep the BBC on-air and broadcasting 24/7. You’ll play a key role in shaping people strategies, navigating complex employee relations, and driving cultural change in a fast-paced operational environment with skilled and committed teams. Your Key Responsibilities And Impact Change Driver: Hands-on experience leading or supporting big change or transformation projects. HR Know-How: Strong background as an HR Business Partner, with deep knowledge of organisational design, talent management, and employee engagement strategies. Strategic Communication: Skilled in building trusted relationships, influencing senior leaders, and navigating complex stakeholder dynamics to support sound decision-making Thriving in ambiguity: Comfortable operating in uncertain environments, demonstrating sound judgment and agility when making decisions without clear-cut answers. Organisational Awareness: Able to connect the dots across the business, applying a broad understanding of organisational priorities to shape impactful HR solutions Trust Builder: Quickly earns the confidence of teams and individuals, fostering strong partnerships and credibility across the organisation. Essential Criteria YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a senior HR advisory role Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with senior stakeholders Demonstrated ability to lead and support organisational change Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practices A people-first mindset with a focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and development Desired But Not Required Experience in a large, complex, or unionised organisation CIPD qualification or equivalent Experience supporting creative or media teams Familiarity with agile or matrixed working environments Data-driven approach to HR decision-making Coaching or facilitation skills If you can bring some of these skills and experiences, along with transferable strengths, we’d love to hear from you and encourage you to apply.
