The job in a nutshell The Events & Experiences (E&E) department is responsible for selling, managing and operating a successful service delivery of all social, corporate, ticketed and wine education events that take place within the Berry Bros. & Rudd portfolio. You will provide support to the Events Operations Team ensuring that the team successfully set up and deliver all social and corporate events that take place at our home at No3, St James’s and, more importantly, creating long-term value within the wider BB&R business. You will work a 45-hour week, with work rota-ed a week in advance, including a mix of daytime and evening work and some Saturdays. Who you will work with Internal: Brands, Cellar Team, Events & Experiences, Family Board, Fine Wine, London Shop, Marketing External: BBR Customers, Food & Beverage Suppliers ,Hire Companies and Florists What you will do As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll be on the front line, serving our clients and customers whilst they are at Berry Bros.& Rudd. You’ll deliver attentive customer-focused service, understand brand standards and enjoy working as part of a successful team. You will be working to ensure all of our events are delivered to an exceptional standard: Delivering 5* Customer Service with a smile Responsible for the setting up, delivery and clearing for all events with your Operations Team colleagues Welcoming guests and managing cloakrooms Welcoming guests into our event spaces with pre-drinks and canapes Serving various menus - canapes, buffets, fine dining Guiding guests to their events around the building as required Working closely with the kitchen team on a day-to-day basis, and during service. Attending daily briefings to run through event timings with kitchen and office team to ensure you are up to date with dietary requirements and any new changes to the event schedule. Working closely with the operations manager to ensure maintenance and physical difficulties are reported and solved to ensure the safety of our guests Actively looking for new ideas to improve standards and working with the operations manager to implement these into the teams duties Ensuring that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation Experience / Achievements Experience of working in a fast-paced event space Proven eye for detail Experience of working with high net worth and corporate customers Level 2 Food safety training Allergen Awareness Your Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours A strong team player, career and results oriented with the ability to be flexible with hours, days off, assignments and additional duties Passion for hospitality, wine & spirits Understanding what 'great’ looks like Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage time each week to ensure all parts of the operations duties are completed.
