Following the NHS Fife Child Protection Team’s service redesign and restructure, an exciting new opportunity is available for a full-time, permanent Child Protection Team Leader to support the operational responsibilities of the team.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working directly with children, young people, and their families within a child protection context. A sound knowledge of child protection research, guidance, legislation, and policy is essential. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team. Experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, and training would be advantageous.
The Team Leader will be an enthusiastic and motivated leader, responsible for the operational management of the Child Protection Team’s four core functions and oversight related to new single and multiagency IRD operating models. The successful candidate will support the Lead Nurse for Child Protection in progressing the strategic direction for Child Protection in Fife, along with quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
This is a Band 7 specialist role requiring a high level of knowledge, experience, skills, and training in Child Protection. The role involves leadership, management, supervisory, decision-making, and communication skills to work independently and collaboratively with partners in complex situations, ensuring NHS Fife meets its responsibilities to protect children. A Master’s level qualification or progress towards it is required.
