Job Description
Your new company: Maintenance Shift Team Leader required for a large manufacturing business near Kings Lynn. You will lead, support, and coach a team of engineers while working on the site maintenance plan.
Your new role
You will work closely with a team of maintenance engineers, responding to breakdowns with urgency and working on the site PPM. You will raise permits for contractors and manage contractor works. You will ensure engineers are assigned tasks based on priority, work safely, and record all works in the company CMMS. Tasks include machinery and tool changeovers within standard operating procedures, completing daily engineering reports, recording works, and managing critical spares.
You will support equipment training when needed and manage a skills matrix to identify training needs. You will attend daily shift change meetings, ensure detailed handovers, and report on asset availability, RCAs, and project updates.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be an apprentice-trained engineer with manufacturing experience and team leadership skills. Strong electrical and mechanical abilities across high-speed processing equipment, with good understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics, fault-finding skills, problem-solving skills, and a proactive maintenance approach are essential. You should also be a strong people leader with coaching and mentoring skills.
What you'll get in return
This role offers an attractive starting salary of £61,800, working 8-hour night shifts (Sunday to Thursday). Overtime is available at enhanced rates. Benefits include a company pension, sick pay, staff discounts, training and development plans, and a subsidized canteen.
