As the General Manager, you will oversee the overall experience for all stakeholders linked to the Build to Rent (BTR) site.Your responsibilities include surpassing customer expectations, enhancing the resident experience, and promoting the John Lewis Build to Rent brand through communication and events. Managing building operations, ensuring compliance, overseeing maintenance, and proposing enhancements are key aspects of your role. Guiding and supervising on-site Partners to enhance efficiency, service quality, and personal development is crucial for delivering exceptional service.
Contract type - This position is a permanent contract.
Location - This role will be based at our Build to Rent site in Stratford, London, not at our John Lewis store in Stratford.
5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Evening/weekend working may be required from time to time to support the needs of the business.
This role will require you on occasion to be on call during which time you will need to be flexible in response to any call outs. Leading the delivery of high quality customer service and resident engagement including complaint and dispute resolution in a timely manner.
Responsibility for all Health & Safety and Statutory compliance on site including implementing and refreshing a fire strategy to agreed protocols.
Sufficient experience in a residential related asset or property management position is essential – PRS, BTR, PBSA etc
Experience operating in a commercial environment including budget responsibility
Ability to use initiative, self motivate and work with minimal supervision
Strong leadership skills with evidence of managing and supporting teams, including training, recruitment and performance management
