Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee to join our busy real estate team based in Glasgow. The role is a two-year placement within our Scottish real estate team, primarily focusing on telecoms, with opportunities to collaborate with real estate colleagues across the UK on nationwide projects.
Our real estate department covers all aspects of transactional and contentious commercial real estate work, including telecoms, development, investment, asset management, construction, and landlord/tenant work. Our clients include telecoms operators, property management and development companies, house builders, health trusts, government bodies (local and central), owner-occupiers, and institutions both in the UK and overseas.
With offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, we are expanding our Scottish services, providing seamless cross-border support for our clients across the UK, backed by full national and international firm resources.
Key Responsibilities
Our Trainees appreciate our collaborative working environment, which reflects our open-door policy and core values of supportiveness, creativity, determination, and clarity. There are numerous networking opportunities with other Trainees and colleagues across the firm, as well as participation in wider projects and initiatives.
The role will primarily involve Scottish real estate telecoms work, mainly transactional, with some litigation exposure. Responsibilities include handling landlord/tenant asset management tasks, drafting and negotiating lease documents with team support, and managing client reports. Knowledge of Scottish property law or prior experience in real estate, especially telecoms, is advantageous but not mandatory. A genuine interest in real estate and a client-focused approach are essential.
