Job Description
Our friendly team in Desborough has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join on a full-time, permanent basis!
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will support the Shift Manager in managing and motivating the team, ensuring all Health & Safety standards are monitored, company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to, and that all products are picked and dispatched to the highest standards, in line with or exceeding KPIs.
Salary: £30,000 per annum.
Working hours: Any 5 in 7 days, 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotating shifts.
Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor:
* Manage and motivate the shift team to achieve or exceed productivity and service KPIs.
* Monitor and promote good working practices, conforming to all Health and Safety laws and IPS SOPs.
* Manage Goods Inwards to ensure quick receipt of goods without damage, ensuring stock availability for production and orders.
* Oversee outbound picking and loading to ensure loads are ready on time for collection.
* Ensure accuracy in systems for receipts and dispatches.
* Carry out all Quality and compliance checks, ensuring the operational team meets audit standards.
* Manage the team and cover for Shift Managers in their absence.
* Deliver communication briefings to inform all shifts of company and local issues, encouraging employee input and involvement.
* Develop team members to maximize their contributions and support succession planning.
* Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Computer literacy with knowledge of Excel and WMS systems.
* Confident in dealing with people at all levels.
* Adaptable with a methodical approach to work, training, and working hours.
* Ability to lead a team effectively, delegate, supervise, and motivate staff.
* Excellent communication skills for accurate information delivery.
* Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
* Prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
