French Polisher
Hospitality Environment - Central London
Rate £23p/h, 8.5 hours paid
Situated in the heart of London, Our client is a luxury 5* hotel, featuring over 180 beautifully appointed guest rooms.
They currently have an opportunity for an experienced French Polisher to join their maintenance services team on an ongoing agency contract.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
1. Under the direction of the management team undertake a range of planned and corrective maintenance and decorative duties to ensure that all the back of house areas and public areas, along with guest bedrooms are maintained and presented at the highest standard.
2. Maintain hotel joinery, finishes and furnishings to the highest standards with polishing techniques and decoration.
3. French Polishing including priming, sealing, denibbing, spraying woodwork/furniture and stripping/prepping furniture ready for polishing both in workshop and on site.
4. Undertake other minor projects such as completion of painting, wall coverings, silicone works, tiling, light carpentry and/or other special repairs works throughout the hotel to ensure that all areas are well maintained and presented.
5. Complete planned preventive inspections as directed and log on relevant software and log sheets where required updating the maintenance reporting software and relevant log sheets.
About you: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
6. Decorative trade qualification experience in a luxury hospitality environment.
7. Proven track record of working with high-end materials and finishes, showcasing exceptional attention to detail.
8. Proficiency in using a variety of polishing techniques and tools to achieve impeccable results.
9. Strong understanding of wood types, finishes, and restoration methods commonly found in upscale settings.
10. Certification or training in French polishing techniques or related areas is highly desirable.
11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, contractors, and other team members to fulfill clients' exacting requirements
