The Vacancy
As an IT Technician, you’ll join our IT team at a pivotal time as we expand our operations and support rapid growth and acquisitions. This hands-on role involves managing daily IT operations to ensure a seamless digital experience across the organization.
You will be responsible for key processes such as managing our cloud telephony platform, overseeing the joiners, movers, and leavers (JML) lifecycle, and deploying mobile devices. You will also liaise with newly acquired businesses to facilitate smooth IT onboarding and connectivity.
In addition, you’ll act as an escalation point for IT issues, working with third-party support providers to resolve incidents and implement improvements. This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is eager to build scalable IT processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as an escalation point for internal IT issues, collaborating with third-party support.
* Manage and maintain the organization’s cloud telephony system.
* Coordinate with new acquisitions for IT onboarding and connectivity.
* Own the joiners, movers, and leavers (JML) process.
* Deploy and support mobile devices, including configuration.
* Build, image, and distribute desktops and laptops.
* Perform network patching and assist with hardware setups and removals.
* Conduct regular audits of IT equipment and manage secure disposal.
* Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure compliance.
* Support the development of scalable IT processes and documentation.
Skills Required
* At least 3 years of hands-on IT support or technician experience.
* Strong knowledge of desktop, mobile, and network technologies.
* Experience with cloud telephony and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
* Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Organized, detail-oriented, proactive.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Experience with multi-site or acquisition-heavy environments is advantageous.
* Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks is desirable.
