Overview
A growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced R&D/Testing Engineer to lead product testing and development programmes. You’ll manage the full testing process from scoping and quotes to scheduling and delivery, ensure products meet regulatory and market requirements, and produce technical documentation including CAD drawings. You’ll also track R&D budgets, collaborate across departments, and work with certification bodies to keep products compliant and commercially viable.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in technical, R&D, or testing roles, ideally in fire doors, construction, or building products, with familiarity with UK certification schemes (EN1634-1, BS476) highly desirable. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; CAD experience is a plus, not essential.
Salary and Benefits
KennedyPearce Consulting provided pay range: £33,000-£45,000 per annum + benefits. Base pay range: £33,000-£45,000 per annum. The working hours are 07:30-17:00, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits.
