This role plays a vital part in supporting day-to-day security operations, helping to ensure the safety of people, property, and assets while delivering a consistently high standard of service.As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide flexible support across a range of shifts and locations on site. You'll be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring all security procedures are followed. This position requires someone who remains calm under pressure, demonstrates strong situational awareness, and can respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations.What you'll do:Deliver flexible security coverage across the site, adapting to operational needsMonitor and control access points, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premisesCarry out regular patrols to maintain a safe and secure environmentRespond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergency situationsAccurately record all activities and complete detailed incident reportsAdhere to all site security procedures and Sodexo policies at all timesWork collaboratively with colleagues to promote a safe, secure, and supportive workplaceWhat you bring:Good understanding of core security operations and procedures, with the ability to remain calm, composed, and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situationsFlexible and adaptable approach to shift patterns and operational requirementsStrong communication skills with excellent attention to detail and situational awarenessConfident working independently as well as collaboratively within a teamCompetent IT skills for accurate reporting and record-keepingHold a valid SIA Frontline Licence and a current First Aid certificateFull UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points)Must meet the minimum age requirement of 25 and be able to successfully pass BS7858 security vetting standardsWhat we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.You'll belong in a company and team that values you for you; you'll act with purpose and have an impact through your everyday actions; and you'll be able to thrive in your own way.
