Supplier Quality Engineer

Definition:
If you are a skilled and pro-active Quality Professional, we are looking for you to join our Operations team as an STA Engineer. Reporting into the Quality Manager STA, your role will involve management and support activities to key suppliers into the business. The role will include working closely with MNVE personnel within the quality, engineering and production departments to ensure supplied product into the business is delivered on time, within budget and to the correct quality level. The role will include managing NPI process and the resolution of complex quality issues.
You’ll never have a boring day, as you work on delivering some of the world’s most exciting automotive programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of supplier problem resolution activity
2. Management of NPI process within the supplier base
3. Manage investigation and corrective action process for complex quality issues
4. Work with internal MNVE departments to instigate product improvement activity within the supplier base
Skills:
5. Experience of supplier management / improvement activity
6. Good understanding of 8D / PPS methodology.
7. Demonstrable competence within automotive PPAP / PSW process
8. Knowledge of carbon fibre and paint quality standards, inspection methods and equipment
9. Understanding of tooling / jig & fixture design
10. Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes
11. Ability to use interpret 3D CAD models and drawings
12. Strong IT skills and ability to present data effectively
13. Previous experience with Polyworks and JT2Go software packages would be beneficial

Experience Levels:
18. Substantial experience in a low volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
19. 3 years’ experience within a supplier facing Quality Engineering role
20. Experience of working within an ISO9001 certified business
