The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Project Management Assessor/Coach to support learners on the Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship.
You'll play a key role in creating and delivering engaging, high-quality learning and assessment experiences that help learners achieve their qualifications and apply project management principles confidently in the workplace.
This role is freelance or part-time, working days will be 2 days per week, 8:30pm - 4:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging group and one-to-one coaching sessions aligned with the Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship Standard.
* Support learners in developing practical understanding of project management principles, such as project governance, stakeholder management, scheduling, risk and issue management, and budgeting.
* Conduct assessments using a range of methods (e.g. observation, professional discussion, portfolio review, witness testimonies).
* Maintain accurate learner records and progress tracking.
* Provide constructive feedback and set clear actions to ensure timely progress towards EPA (End-Point Assessment).
* Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure consistency and quality of learning experience.
* Continuously develop and adapt learning materials to reflect industry standards and project management best practice.
About You
* Highly experienced (5+ years) in Project Management or Project Delivery, ideally within a business or technology setting.
* Knowledgeable in areas such as project planning, governance, risk management, and leadership.
* Experienced in coaching, mentoring, or assessing apprentices or professionals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support learners.
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload independently.
Qualifications (Essential/Desirable):
* Project Management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
* Assessor qualification (A1, CAVA, or TAQA) – desirable.
* Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) – desirable.
Schedule & Terms
* Type: Freelance or part-time
* Location: Hybrid - Swansea office & home based, with occasional apprentice work observations at their offices.
* Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm
* Rate: Competitive day rate, based on experience

Pay: £175.00-£200.00 per day
