Type of employment: Full-Time/Permanent Salary: Competitive Commissions Working Pattern: Hybrid Overview of the role This is an exciting opportunity for a highly engaged and proactive professional to join the Incisive Media centralised events operations team as a Senior Event Manager. The role will primarily focus on the operational delivery of digital, hybrid and face to face events (mainly in the UK), in the format of breakfast briefings, lunches, conferences, awards ceremonies and roadshows. You will play a crucial role in the events team thinking strategically about the events in your portfolio and suggesting improvements to enhance the delivery of events' goals. As Senior Event Manager, you will work closely with other event managers and coordinators to ensure the professional and efficient organisation of all events logistics. In the role, you will be running projects across the teams while delivering high quality events on time and to budget. Key tasks and responsibilities Professional and timely delivery of all events in the portfolio Ensuring all events are scheduled in a collaborative way, minimising clashes and gaining cost savings where events can be co-located with other events across the group Ensuring excellent cost management is achieved across all events and ensure that event budgets are being maintained by your team on a regular, weekly basis and to ensure month end figures can be provided when necessary Build strong venue and supplier relationships to ensure the best possible space, rates and contract terms and conditions are secured Promotion of strong customer focus through the development of excellent client relationships with speakers, sponsors and delegates Development of strong project team work to ensure close cooperation between their team and events marketing, production and sales Effective management of their team and its support of the rest of the event operations team What we value Three plus years of experience in managing operations for in-person sponsored events Excellent time management skills and attention to details At least one year line management experience An ability to develop strong supplier relationships and to negotiate A calm demeanour and the capacity to overcome stressful situations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Flexibility around events starting and finishing times Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Adobe What you can expect from us As well as working with the most interesting, talented and fun people, we operate a culture where success is recognised.
