Robert Half Technology is assisting a global legal organisation to recruit a Interim CIO to start ASAP - Hybrid working (London based)
Role
* The CIO will develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the firm's goals and objectives.
* Lead and manage the IT department, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff.
* Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of legal technology solutions such as case management systems, e-discovery tools, and document management systems.
* Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect sensitive client and firm data.
* Manage the firm's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and communication systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
* Collaborate with senior management and practice leaders to identify technology needs and provide solutions that enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
* Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the legal sector and assessing their applicability to the firm.
* Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
* Oversee data governance and compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and other legal industry standards.
* Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of IT systems across all departments and offices.
* Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to procure and maintain IT services and products.
* Implement training programs to ensure staff proficiency with the firm's technology tools and systems.
Profile
* The CIO will have extensive experience in a similar position, with a significant portion in a legal or professional services environment.
* Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT strategies
* Strong understanding of legal technology applications and the specific IT needs of a law firm.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage an IT team effectively.
* Excellent knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
