Manchester City Council’s Rent Income Team is a vital frontline service within our wider Housing Services. We manage over 12,500 properties across the city and are on an ambitious journey to deliver the highest standards of customer care and service delivery. Our work is guided by A Place Called Home —Manchester’s vision for social housing (2022–2025), which puts residents at the heart of everything we do. About the Role As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering resident-led services that are high in quality, value, and impact. You will: Lead and develop a rent collection team, recognising and rewarding good performance and developing skills especially around rent income collection. Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement. Provide expert advice and guidance to residents, including in sensitive and complex situations. Use data and performance metrics to drive service delivery and accountability. Oversee the implementation of new technologies and ensure legal and policy compliance. Work confidently with financial data and ICT systems helping to procure new systems to enhance the customer experience and maximise rent collection.
