Role
Nigel James Associates are delighted to be partnered with a highly established regional financial planning company with ties to a leading professional services firm to recruit for a senior Financial Planner to lead their Edinburgh team. Predominately the role will be to manage existing HNW clients given to you as well as proactively growing your portfolio, working with the professional partners in the business. Alongside this you will lead by example mentoring and managing other Financial Planners in the team. Full and robust admin/paraplanning support will be provided so you can focus on working with clients and your team.
Requirements
You will be a skilled and experienced Financial Planner that is used to working with HNW clients. If you had some management experience of other people (including other Advisers and/or support staff) this would be ideal. However, our client would consider somebody who is a strong practitioner and shows the ability and gravitas to mentor/lead others looking for that next step in their career. Most clients come through internal professional contacts within the business but if you had the aptitude/experience to network externally this would be advantageous. What is key to be successful in the role is to be a good relationship manager with the ability to build strong connections with your peers and team. You must value the service you provide and the clients you advise. This hire is as much about culture fit as well as skillset relevant for the role.
