Digital Health Integration Executive
Location: Sheffield (Hybrid)
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Digital Health Integration Executive to join a dynamic and multidisciplinary team driving digital transformation within the NHS. This hybrid role is based in Sheffield and offers an exciting opportunity for an IT professional with a strong background in Linux systems, healthcare integration, and clinical IT infrastructure.
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the go-to-market digital strategy, sales enablement, technical deployment, and ongoing operational maintenance of cutting-edge digital health systems in hospital environments across England.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for the sale, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based healthcare platforms
Assist in deploying and documenting HL7 interfaces and healthcare integration engines
Monitor and troubleshoot data flows between networked medical devices and NHS systems
Work alongside engineers and clinical teams to resolve integration and connectivity challenges
Support development and optimisation of automated scripting tools for system monitoring
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, SOPs, and integration mappings
Participate in go-live activities and post-deployment technical reviews
Ensure compliance with NHS Digital standards (e.g., DCB0129) and NHS data governance requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
Proficiency in Linux system administration and command-line tools
Working knowledge of HL7 v2.x messaging and experience with integration engines (e.g., Rhapsody, Ensemble, Cloverleaf)
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, ports, VPNs, routing
Hands-on experience with system integration or medical device connectivity in clinical environments
Ability to support and troubleshoot scripted automation tools
Strong documentation skills and problem-solving mindset in a live/regulated environment
Comfortable working across hybrid settings with clinical-facing responsibilities
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Degree or certification in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience supporting NHS digital transformation projects or interoperability programmes
Knowledge of DCB0129, UK GDPR, and NHS information governance frameworks
Familiarity with IEEE 11073, serial device protocols, or medical device communication standards
Clinical insight or experience beneficial for stakeholder engagement and user training
