Bespoke Cabinet & Furniture Maker - Kent. £33,000 - £36,500 per annum (depending on experience).
Our client is a well-established, high-end furniture manufacturer based in Ashford, Kent. With a 25,000 sq ft purpose-built workshop and a reputation for delivering premium bespoke pieces, they produce exceptional fitted and freestanding furniture for a discerning customer base.
They are now looking to expand their team with an experienced Cabinet Maker / Furniture Maker who is passionate about quality and craftsmanship. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong background in bespoke joinery and a sharp eye for detail.
The successful applicant will be responsible for building ultra-high-end furniture to precise specifications, using a mix of traditional joinery methods and modern manufacturing techniques.
Responsibilities
* Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to construct bespoke furniture
* Working with a range of materials including solid timber, veneer, and sheet goods
* Maintaining a high standard of finishing, including surface prep and assembly
* Collaborating with colleagues across the workshop and operational teams
* Maintaining a tidy and safe work environment
* Supporting innovation through new techniques and material use
Requirements
* Strong experience in high-end cabinet making or furniture production
* Skilled in both hand tools and woodworking machinery
* Confident reading and working from detailed technical drawings
* Solid understanding of joinery techniques and fabrication
* A keen eye for quality, accuracy, and finishing
* Able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
