Role Overview
Our client is seeking a confident, enthusiastic, and highly organised Office Manager to lead our administrative team and support the smooth running of the school. This is a key role requiring excellent communication, leadership, and IT skills.
Key Responsibilities
School Administration
1. Provide confidential and efficient administrative support
2. Maintain high standards in all communications and materials
3. Manage incoming calls and direct enquiries appropriately
Reception & Office Management
4. Line manage the Receptionist and Administrator
5. Oversee office rotas, supplies, and budget
6. Ensure a welcoming and professional front-of-house environment
HR & Compliance
7. Maintain the Single Central Record (SCR)
8. Support recruitment and onboarding processes
9. Ensure safeguarding and training records are up to date
Data & Systems
10. Manage pupil data in iSAMS and assist with census submissions
11. Oversee My School Portal content and calendar coordination
Events & Trips
12. Organise school events, photo days, and vaccination clinics
13. Manage administration for school trips and offsite visits
Marketing & Communications
14. Assist with website updates and termly newsletters
15. Support the Parents' Events Committee and internal communications
Leadership Support
16. Minute SLT and staff meetings
17. Provide ad hoc support to the Senior Leadership Team
Person Specification
Experience
18. Proven experience in office administration, ideally in education
19. Experience improving or streamlining administrative processes
Skills & Attributes
20. Strong organisational and communication skills
21. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
22. Friendly, resilient, and proactive
23. Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Start Date: August
Location: Brentford
Contract Type: Term time + 6 weeks
Hours: 08:30 - 17:30 (1-hour lunch break)
