Education/Qualification
Essential criteria
1. Bachelor's Degree (or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and experience)
2. Specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate courses and experience to Masters equivalent, in a relevant, related discipline.
3. Professional / or appropriate technical qualification
4. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Desirable criteria
5. Membership of a professional organisation
Knowledge /Experience
Essential criteria
6. Relevant recent experience in a similar NHS Post
7. Detailed understanding of the requirements of all Professional Standards relating to Facilities Operations, including a thorough knowledge of NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness and Food Safety
8. Detailed knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety and other statutory legislation in respect of Facilities Operations
9. Managing and leading a multidisciplinary team including objective setting and performance management
10. Experience of successfully managing large scale facilities contracts over a number of years
Desirable criteria
11. Understanding of healthcare planning
12. Ability / evidence of bringing expenditure to budget levels where there is overspend and/or underperforming income recovery

17. Ability to manage and meet priorities and deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail Analytical skills, drawing out key points and analysing complex data/ Good budget management skills
