General Classroom Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2 (KS2)
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 3.15pm
Rate of Pay: £12.85 - £13.50 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Classroom Teaching Assistant to join the team at a Primary School in the centre of Chorley. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the vibrant environment and play a crucial role in supporting the education and development of Key Stage 2 (KS2) students.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a General Classroom Teaching Assistant within KS2, you will:
- Collaborate with teachers to provide individualized support to students in various subjects and activities.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Work closely with students to reinforce their understanding of the curriculum and ensure their academic progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and teamwork.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to students, helping them develop confidence and a love for learning.
- Support classroom management and behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Contribute to the overall wellbeing of students by offering emotional support and creating a nurturing learning environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience working within Key Stage 2 (KS2) is essential.
- A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Flexibility and adaptability in assisting with a variety of classroom tasks and responsibilities.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development are advantageous.
Contract Details:
- Start Date: April 2024
- Contract Duration: Initially until July 2024, with potential for extension into the next academic year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
